Ephos is a software tool, not a bank, not a custodial wallet, not a security platform. You retain full control of your API keys at all times. This software is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ephos ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
Ephos provides a zero-knowledge API key management platform. The Software encrypts API keys client-side before transmission. Raw keys are never stored on our servers. Decryption occurs only in ephemeral RAM for milliseconds during proxy requests.
3. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The security of your master passphrase (we cannot recover lost passphrases)
- Compliance with API providers' terms of service when using proxy features
- Any activity that occurs under your account
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your session tokens
4. No Warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ephos and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your use or inability to use the Service; (ii) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein; (iii) any bugs, viruses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our Service.
6. No Guarantee of Security
While Ephos employs industry-standard security practices, no system is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk. Ephos does not guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security measures.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the rights of others
- Transmit any malicious code
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or discover the source code of the Service
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
